Head Brewer and Co-founder of Bluntrock Brewery in Rock, North Cornwall. I'm originally from Burton upon Trent, where I grew up surrounded by the brewing industry. My parents even met each other while working at Allied Breweries.
When I was 18, I moved to Cornwall to start my brewing career at Sharps Brewery in Rock. Then, after 2 years of brewing mostly Doombar, I moved across the Camel Estuary to Padstow Brewing Co, where I spent 5 years. During that time, we launched into cans and started producing limited-release beers with Falmouth University art students.
Then in 2020, I was finally able to open my own brewery in the parish of St Minver, alongside my business partner Hugo Roads. After finding an empty plot of land on the industrial estate opposite Sharps Brewery, we dropped off 4 x 40-ft yellow shipping containers and set up a 150-litre brewery and taproom. Then in 2023, we opened a brand new brewery 300 meters away on the road to Polzeath, where we now produce all our beers.
